Over the last two years, we have undertaken several reading and standardized tests to benchmark and understand our students’ reading ability. However, when we saw HP Literacy Coach at work we realized why we just had to use it. Literacy Coach doesn’t just rank a child, it allows us to see a child’s struggle firsthand, and to understand where the potential problem lies. The results are very clear and give the graph where the students are compared with other schools across the world who are using Lexplore for reading assessment. As a leader, it is important to see the big picture. Some children who are having reading difficulties were also highlighted. Based on the results of the first assessment, we made rigorous changes in our plan, for our reading program. Many of our students have moved from Average level to High by the end of the year. The recordings of each student helps us to understand the difficulty the child is facing.
